The British summer is now officially here, and with the British summer comes the festival season (although sun is by no means guaranteed). Whichever festival you’re planning on attending this year, it’s important that you look the part, and that you’re prepared should the unpredictable British sunshine decide to make an appearance.
Festivals and sunglasses are a perfect combination, and this season the fashionable look is a Gaga inspired vintage or retro. With trends from the 50’s and 60’s making an appearance this season, the most common looks we’ll see include paisley patterns, prints, and lots of retro designer sunglasses.
If you are heading out to the festivals and want to look in-style this summer, aim for either small, round frames, or go the other direction and get colourful, oversized frames in red, green, blue or brown.
If you’re looking at specific brands, you can’t go wrong with Ray Ban; the aviators will always be a popular choice and recent celebrities seen sporting the aviator look include Jessica Beil and Kate Bosworth. The Ray Ban Wayfarer is also a great choice for any occasion; timeless, vintage and always stylish, they will look particularly at home at a summer festival.
If I had to make another suggestion I’d certainly recommend anything from the amazing Police sunglasses range; particularly if you’re looking for that little piece of Lady Gaga inspired magic. Always popular and fashionable, they have recently updated their range and feature some amazing summer sunglasses, perfect for the vintage look at this years’ festivals.
If you’re after something incredibly current, go for pastel coloured, rounded small frames. This style was immensely popular on the spring and summer catwalks and will ensure you look perfectly in-style for the summer festivals.
