Being Christmas, even health professionals like myself are tempted to call a truce with carbs.Rather than several huge pieces of Mom’s creation, I stick to just one small serving.
As soon as Christmas is over, I am back with my exercise routine, and back on the wagon with my diet.
Seven days later you will find me out to dinner eating things I shouldn’t bringing in the next year.Unlike some people, I won’t be debilitated on the first day of the year: you’ll find me back on my training schedule.
There’s nothing wrong with enjoying yourself during the holiday season with the people you know and/or love. You can even have some things to eat that you know aren’t good for you.
But also, there’s no reason why you can’t do all this and stay healthy and fit. You’re sure to find a lot of excuses on a weight loss forum.
I’m going to give you a few tips that will help you get through the toughest season for dieters with flying colors.
1. Don’t even entertain the possibility of missing your workouts over the holiday season. If you don’t make plans to stay faithful, you probably won’t.
You are certain to fall by the way side if that is what you are expecting to happen.
2. Get ahead of yourself by planning out the workouts you will be doing. To keep your mind aware of what you are expecting, nail your holiday training schedule on the wall and keep it.
3. Write down some ambitious things you want to achieve over the holidays and get them! You don’t have to be part of the crowd that gains weight and loses momentum for Christmas.
Now get to the gym and do some six pack ab exercises!
